2022 FIFA WORLD CUP ODDS

July 11, 2022 /Posted byallenteam / 587 / 0

The 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup is set to begin in 2022 on November 21 and conclude on December 18. Although controversial, Qatar won the hosting rights for this event and will play matches within eight venues across five cities. As the hosting nation, Qatar receives an automatic bid and play in Group A of Group Stage matches.

Qatar sees odds to win in its home country at 150/1 with bet365. Brazil is actually the favorite with the sportsbook, given odds to win at 11/2. Right behind Brazil is the defending champion, France. The French see odds to win at 6/1, which may have something to do with its performance in the 2020 UEFA Euros.

France didn’t perform well, beginning with a Group Stage draw against Hungary. The defending World Cup champions were eventually eliminated in the Knockout Stage, although Brazil did drop its Copa America Final against Argentina. Regardless, the two favorites for the 2022 World Cup fell short of their respected regional tournaments.

England sees 8/1 odds despite a shootout loss to Italy (10/1) in the 2020 UEFA Euro Final. The favorites are littered with nations from Europe, as Brazil and Argentina (9/1) are the only two non-European clubs with odds to win in the Top 11. Uruguay is listed at 12 with odds at 50/1. Senegal at 80/1 and the United States at 100/1 are the next highest non-European nations.
